The Revolution will be televised: Bigger Than Roe

 

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI - On January 22, 2023, the anniversary of Roe V Wade, The Mississippi Womanist Alliance will have a rally at the Historic Capri Theater, with speakers and a teaser screening of Water: A Reproductive Justice Story. Water is a collaboration between SHERO Mississippi, Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund, & Mississippi2 the nonprofit arm of Brice Media. The event is free and open to the public and will feature speeches both in person and recorded from the likes of Jane Elliott, actress Aunjunae Ellis & Reproductive Justice advocate Michelle Colon.

 

This event is also held in conjunction with the National Women’s March. Although the event is free and open to the public, monetary donations are encouraged as well as donated feminine hygiene products for menstruating persons. The event is hosted by award winning artist & filmmaker Talamieka Brice.
